About Your Photographer

Nicolette Gracella

Thank you for taking the time to read about the meaning behind Poiēma Creative and now about the person behind the camera. Since junior high, Nicolette was enamored with capturing all of the Lord's beautiful creation, first with a black and white film camera, and later switching to digital.  Born and raised on the island of 'Oahu, Hawai'i, she was constantly surrounded by breath-taking beauty and even other talented photographers that mentored her in her early career. She was able to continue her studies at Oregon State University and achieved a Bachelors of Arts in Photography.

In 2020, Nicolette accepted the Lord into her life and decided to use her gift to give glory and honor to the Lord in what and how she photographed. Since then, she has had the honor of partnering with many local Hawai'i businesses that aim to do the same, in spreading the Gospel and glorifying the Lord in their craft. Nicolette's photography spans a wide range of genre, from product and fashion to portrait, pet, and family.

"Hi friend, I am so happy you are here! I love getting to do what I do because I get to meet so many amazing people like you! When partnering with me, I aim to make sure that your experience is loads of fun! We'll get to talk about how the Lord is moving in your life, listen to worship music, take a bunch of cool pictures, and then I'll send you off in prayer! By the Lord's grace, I've been able to photograph His beauty and all His creation for over 15 years, and I so look forward to sharing this gift of creating art with you!

Until we meet, may the LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)"
